Pretty Little Liars (2010–2017) – Sure beats Secret Life

Pretty Little Liars is an interesting teen drama shown on ABC Family. The plot of the show involves a circle of four female friends who become engrossed in a missing persons case when the “queen bee” of their group, Allison, goes missing and the remaining friends find themselves being blackmailed by “A” who seems to know an awful lot of their secrets.

Unlike the other ABC Family teen dramas (i.e. – Secret Life of the American Teenager) I found that Pretty Little Liars has much better character development and the actors who portray them are all very believable and talented. Each character has their own interesting subplot which is what really drives the show. The initial idea of teenage girls being blackmailed definitely was not interesting to me but after the first episode I found myself hooked. I felt like I had to know what happened next to each character, even the ones that seem to have more minor roles.

This may not be a show that will win huge awards since it is definitely meant to appeal to a specific demographic, but it is refreshing to see a teen drama that is not completely based around sex and deals with other common issues too. This show is interesting enough that even if you are not a teenage girl it is still fun to watch and less feminine or religiously biased than other ABC Family series out there.

Perfect show

This show saved my life. I love it, it instilled passion and motivation in me when I had lost it all due to my illness. It made me care again. I was intrigued by the plot, mystery, and drama. Somehow it gave me my life back. The characters are all so relatable. I identify the most with Hanna and Spencer. Most of all, it covers REAL issues. Hanna’s ED, her dad leaving, Mike’s depression after the parents divorce, Spencer’s struggle to be perfect in her family, Emily coming out to her parents. This show has a lot of depth. It’s fantastic. Please watch this show! You won’t regret it. It can be very intense but also comedic at times. I think that everyone can relate to at least one character.

A-mazing!

From the first episode of Pretty Little Liars, I seriously became addicted. Even now I am still obsessed with it. There’s always something happening, and when it does, you’re like wtf I had no idea that was gonna happen. Seriously, A always does something that completely surprises you. I mean it’s frustrating trying to figure out who A is, but at the same time it’s just so awesome and you have to keep watching to find out what will happen next.

Pretty Little Liars is one of the best things on TV right now. Once you start watching it, you seriously can’t stop. There’s always little twists in each episode, and its definitely not gonna be what you’re expecting. Overall, its a must watch and there aren’t that many good things on TV right now, so definitely watch this. In Rosewood nothing is as it seems.

Sure beats Secret Life

I’d give this show an 8 out of 10 because as many faults as it has, I can’t help but watch. I was extremely disappointed with the first episode. They introduced way to many characters all at once. I understand that a lot of those people were important to the story line but it would have been better if they did it differently. After that I found little interest in the show and only caught bits while channel switching, but after hearing all the hype I decided to watch some of the later episodes. Despite how unbelievable they were..I was hooked! I could not wait for the next season and so far I’ve been pretty impressed. The story line has been okay, definitely far better than Secret Life, but how long is this going to happen? I mean the whole point of the show is figuring out who A is, which I’m assuming won’t be until the last episode. So how many seasons are these girls going to be able to run around getting threatening text messages? Im not sure where they are going with the story but I’m interested in seeing what happens.

Just kill this series already

This show started off SO good. It was suspenseful, scary, intriguing and mysterious. It has, however, reached the point where – because they won’t just end it already – half the town is involved in A’s ridiculousness and the plot has dwindled down to not much more than someone being accused, someone else being accused, rinse, repeat. I mean, HOW many times have they suspected Spencer’s sister, Melissa?! They want to keep this going for as long as they can, but … why are people even still watching?! That right there tells you that there’s *never* going to be any resolution. I’ve reached the end of season three and that’s plenty for me. My eight out of ten rating is for the beginning of the series.

“Really Cool”

Pretty Little Liars is one of the best things on TV right now. Once you start watching it, you seriously can’t stop. Pretty Little Good Show

Addicting & Very Enticing! It’s one of those shows that bring you in with the first couples of episodes. The characters are very interesting and the acting is pretty good. Lots of clichés & some annoying/bad drama, but a lot of suspense, character development & thrilling scenes & story/plot-lines. One of my most favourite attributes of the show are the corny, yet funny and outrageous one-liners that make me crack up so hard and become even more obsessed with the show.

The show is absolutely addicting from the get-go and only drops out a bit towards the middle of Season 2 but quickly picks up with a very surprising, yet entertaining season finale.

Some of the side/back stories are boring and uncalled for, but others are completely enticing and makes you crave for more Pretty Little Liars! The show keeps you guessing, answers the questions but with more questions. It’s a never-ending Roller Coaster ride with some small misses and big hits.

I’ll give this a 9 star, only because I’ve criticized it a bit. (Which Was Traumatic For Me.) But, 10 for my overall obsession with the show and the complete awesomeness the show itself leaks.

Rosewood Will Never Leave You.
